The Story Behind Wilson Hospitality

Hi! I’m Toby Wilson, dedicated husband and proud father to three young men. It may seem like life is a breeze for me: great business, loving wife, and three wonderful kids, and trust me, I’m beyond blessed. But that doesn’t mean it all came easily. From a young age, I learned to work hard for what I wanted, which is how I’ve ended up where I am today.

At age 16, I got my first job as a busboy. By 18, I worked my way up in the hotel business to be a front desk supervisor at Hampton Inn University Property. Soon after, I earned my degrees in Corporate Finance & Investment Management from the University of Alabama- Roll Tide! By 22, I became a member of the management team at Hampton Inn.

Building a Hospitality Legacy

Fast forwarding five years of dedication and work, I founded Wilson Hospitality with two properties in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Since then, Wilson Hospitality has grown and won many awards and honors, as have I. But none of that would be possible without the passion and love I have for what I do. Hospitality is more than a job to me: it’s a lifestyle and a purpose. I love what I do and do what I can to ensure my team loves what they do.
